Are your eyes a problem area?

Face yoga can work wonders on the eye area. However, it's not as simple as just practising one exercise, this will not fix the problem. Just like any workout, there needs to be a structure to the exercises. That's when you’ll start to see the changes. Our facial muscles differ from those on the body- on the face all the muscles are interconnected, so it’s crucial to work all of them. Starting with the larger, heavier muscles first. 


Another factor to note is that the skin around your eyes is much thinner making things more visible. In Chinese medicine the eyes represents you kidney energy- dark circles, bag and puffiness are a sign of imbalance. 

Some simple steps in the right direction:

👉🏽Reduce your salt & caffeine intake

👉🏽Drink plenty of water 

👉🏽Manage your stress levels

👉🏽Listen to your body- if you're tired make sure you rest and get sufficient sleep


These are just some of the basic steps you can take to improve the condition of the skin around the eyes, in addition to practising face yoga.
